More and more often, in-house counsel are being asked to draft cross-border intellectual property (IP) agreements and handle the legal issues that they often generate. Complicating this task is that most US-based in-house counsel are not familiar with civil code jurisdictions and/or the legal issues facing in-house counsel for companies based outside of the United States.
