In-house Women Lawyers’ Networking Reception and Flower Arranging Demonstration

On June 4, ACC Greater Philadelphia hosted a fun-filled evening of networking and flower arranging where, under the direction of an experienced floral designer, attendees learned how to create a seasonal floral display using simple techniques. The networking event was sponsored by Fisher Phillips and specifically designed for in-house women lawyers. The relaxed evening was filled with great company, creativity, and fabulous wine.

On July 9, the ACC Greater Philadelphia Chapter’s Women’s Committee hosted a successful event titled “Lessons from Women Leaders.” The panelists Lauren Steinfeld, chief privacy officer, University of Pennsylvania Health System/Penn Medicine; Professor Cynthia Dahl, University of Pennsylvania Law School; Ellen Patterson, general counsel, TD Bank; Kim Koopersmith, chairperson, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld; Deb Carlos, deputy general counsel, Comcast Cable; Hon. Cheryl Krause, Third Circuit Court of Appeals; and Lynn Charytan, general counsel, Comcast Cable engaged with the sold-out audience of 90 in-house counsel about topics including dynamics in the workplace, mentorship, career paths, risks and challenges, work/life balance, and paying it forward for women in the profession.

Also in attendance was Lynne Abraham, former Philadelphia district attorney for 19 years and the first women to hold that position in the city of Philadelphia. The 90-minute interactive panel was followed by a cocktail reception at the lovely Rittenhouse Hotel. The event was sponsored by Akin Gump.
