ACC Southwest Ohio Hosts Author Howard Reich

The ACC Southwest Ohio Chapter hosted author, journalist, and filmmaker Howard Reich at the chapter’s annual meeting on Oct. 7, 2021.

Reich spoke to the chapter about his book, The Art of Inventing Hope: Intimate Conversations with Elie Wiesel.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Elie Wiesel and Robert Reich, Howard's father, were liberated from the Buchenwald death camp on April 11, 1945. The friendship that later developed between Wiesel and Howard Reich became a partnership, the two chronicling conversations between a Holocaust survivor and the son of survivors — two generations contemplating a cataclysmic event and its consequences.

Reich delivered a powerful and moving presentation about his conversations with Wiesel and the insight and guidance that he learned. The presentation was followed by a reception during which Reich met with and signed copies of his book for guests.
